¦ Powertrain Control Solutions, LLC ¦
¦Universal Automatic Transmission Controller¦
+------------------------+------------------+
¦ Revision History ¦
+------------------------+
¦1.5.1A Beta – 12/16/2004¦
+------------------------+
Changes/Additions
-----------------
1. 4WD Low not showing up on speed inputs form.
2. Engine cylinders supports a value from 0.1 to 2000.
Bug fixes
---------
1. Selecting digital output 2 through the File menu could cause the software to give Run-time error 424.
2. Entering values above 255 in the RPM breakpoints table would cause an overflow.
+----------------------+
¦1.5.1 Beta – 6/10/2004¦
+----------------------+
Changes/Additions
-----------------
1. Less latent communications on slower machines.
2. Software will not ask you to save your work on exit if no change was detected.
3. Some gradient progress bars removed. Caused increased lag during file upload and
download on slower machines.
4. Monitor screen is now very configurable. Temperature readouts can be changed back
and forth from ºC and ºF. Tachometer is adjustable from 1,000-25,000 RPM in 1,000
RPM increments and redline can fall anywhere in this range in 100 RPM increments.
The speedometer can now be view in MPH or KPH with a scalable max speed up to 255 MPH
or 410 KPH. The gear display will now accept automatic transmission read out from 2
to 6 speed transmissions. The amount of gears including drive displayed in this is
derived from the amount of gears you have selected in the gear select chart. If this
is not defined it will default to a 6 speed look. Even with this added configurability
we were able to redo the Monitor Screen generation and net a 633% speed increase
during testing on a slow machine. Older/slower machines will see a larger improvement
when bringing up the monitor screen where very recent machines the change will be
negligible. The value readouts on the right side of the screen are now colored to
match there line color as well as push button enable color.
5. You can now set the software so that upon going to online mode it doesn’t ask you to
retrieve a file but instead just goes to online mode. You should make sure the
calibration you have open when connected matches what is on the unit otherwise you
may be editing what is on the unit with incorrect information.
6. Improved unit detection.
7. TCC lockup status light added to the monitor screen next to the gear select gauge.
When lit the TCC is locked.
8. Forms with editable graphs now have a selection increase/decrease selection on there
quick edit menu. This will allow you to add or subtract a given value from the
currently selected values.
9. Pressing Control+G will function as if you clicked on the Online Mode button.
Control+H will function as the Offline Mode button.
10.Log viewer scales RPM and Turbine speed based on the same maximum values. Analog
inputs are all scaled with a 5 volt maximum. TPS is no longer the same color as RPM.
Bug fixes
---------
1. Firmware update problem in 1.4.1 resolved. Should not effect users as no firmware
upgrades have been released.
2. Online/Offline Mode problems resolved.
3. Problems communicating with Read Memory form fixed. Note this is not the Auto Retrieve
form. The read memory form is now significantly faster as well.
4. Log view cursor re-centers on zoom in.
5. The PWM TCC Pressure Control form will set bounds to define valid inputs for starting
and ending duty cycles.
6. Problem closing monitor screen while data logging resolved.
7. Holding the mouse button down while scrolling through a data log for more than 5
seconds could knock the TCU offline.
+----------------------+
¦1.4.1 Beta – 4/30/2004¦
+----------------------+
Changes/Additions
-----------------
1. Thicker lines on data log viewer.
2. Check for update feature improved, a transfer progress bar and speed are now shown
while downloading. Filename altered for new website.
Bug fixes
---------
1. More stable communication on windows 9x machines.
2. Problems opening files on networked drives.
+----------------------+
¦1.3.1 Beta - 4/20/2004¦
+----------------------+
Changes/Additions
-----------------
1. Improved firmware update.
2. More than 10 new PWM output functions.
3. Additional data log features.
4. Small monitor screen is no longer shown while the unit is not connected.
5. On the docked explorer view you can shrink the Treeview temporarily to
increase your viewing area with the blue arrow buttons.
6. Quick edit functions are now available on all editable graphs.
7. TCU Password is reset when a new calibration is programmed. It is important
to remember to reset the password again once the new calibration file is
uploaded.
8. New calibration file added to the file menu. This will create a basic 4 speed
calibration file. This is only a base to work off of and not a file that should
be used to control any sort of transmission.
9. The advanced solenoid output chart can now be calculated for you automatically
should you specify so on the gear selection and solenoid output form. The
setting you choose for this will automatically be saved.
10.Shift timer renamed to shift period and moved to the advanced solenoid output
chart.
11.Transfer speed and sample rate forms were removed.
12.Added “Special Modes” form that allows for dyno mode parameters to be set.
13.More accurate GM MAP sensor calibrations for analog inputs.
14.Menu and Explorer views made to look more alike.
Bug fixes
---------
1. Disabling driveshaft RPM would cause an error the next time the speed input
form was displayed.
2. Fixed Upshift/Downshift forms for calibration A to read that they are part of
calibration A not B. These tables were still 100% functional previously.
3. Digital input Toggle/Momentary modes 1-8 and 8-16 were reversed.
4. Trigger levels and filter values now save on offline mode.
5. Unit trying to communicate on PWM Frequency selection form when not in online
mode after changing Scale A or B.
6. If invalid data was entered on the tire wizard window unit TCU could go offline.
7. Improved password protection security.
8. Appearance problems on the advanced solenoid output chart on computers running in
large fonts mode.
9. Online forum link updated to match our website’s redesign.
10.Clicking on toolbar setup when the explorer bar was undocked would cause the program
to crash.
11.Problems with analog input temperature functions resolved.
