Bump for a status update - How are things coming?
In case it isn't obvious, I'm looking forward to the release of this product.

You can use the D200 to pop open an exhaust valve for your street car. A frequency based output is not specifically implemented in the D200 at this time but may be added.
Things are moving along with the D200 very well. We are in production now and at this point our release is simply locked by lead times and the very final stages of development. At this stage there is a very good chance we will have our final production products moving by mid-summer. _________________ James Ballenger

I see the estimated price has taken quite a jump recently.
Unfortunate, but not unexpected, given the "feature creep" issues you've been having.
I love how many functions you're packing into the unit, but I'm concerned that the D200 might get too expensive because you're trying to make it do so many things. Hopefully this doesn't prove to be the case.

Jeff,
The price of the D200 will be $650. The increase in cost was mainly due to the increase in component costs and extremely long lead times. We have our first shipment of only 80 units coming next week. We don't have a date on the next shipment yet.

Jeff,
The price on our site went from $595 to $650 for the base model D200. The $595 price was an estimate created before our cost information and market research had been compiled. We recently changed the price by $55 to reflect our actual costs. The price has now been set and should not change in the near future. A formal price list for the different models and extra cost options will be placed on the website soon. Glad to hear you are interested and I hope the $55 price increase above our estimated cost does not steer you away. The D200 is constantly improving with more features and refinement as it will continue to do in the future. _________________ James Ballenger

It won't. But when I first started following this product, it was estimated at $495. I didn't even notice when you bumped it to $595.
I'm not complaining - I don't even know what all you plan to pack into the base unit, and I'm still very interested. Just looking forward to finding out what the final specs are, and being able to place an order.

Jeff,
Our XFC had and estimated and final price of $495.
The D200 had an estimated price of $595 and a final price of $650. PCS didn't list the D200 at $495 so perhaps you saw the $495 figure elsewhere or remember the XFC price as the D200 price?
Regardless, the price is set for release and the specs are fairly well defined and we will be placing further documentation on the website shortly. _________________ James Ballenger

It's been a few months since we've heard anything. Any news?
Release date?
Feature list?
Supported ECUs?
Thanks

No official release date. We have many more ECU's supported. The feature list is growing. Right now we are working on the documentation and software and this should take another month or so. At present we are selling to some dealers who do not mind installing the D200 with a limited featureset, limited software and no documentation understanding that these things will appear shortly. Check back in rougly 2 months and we should have final versions of everything. If you want more information feel free to give us a call. _________________ James Ballenger

We will be posting our documentation, revised firmware and revised software on the web so it would be easiest to come to this website and check our downloads section. If you request it, we can ship you a CD and manual. _________________ James Ballenger

Checking in, right at the 2-month milestone. What info do you have for us?
Thanks

Jeff,
Its going to be a few more weeks. We are busy trying to get ready for SEMA. The producton for the D200's is also running behind. We will have a small number of them ready in 2-3 weeks. The next batch won't be available for about 6 weeks from now.

I've checked the store its not in there I gather then it not commercially available yet if that's the case any idea when it will be available for purchase.
Will OBD2 be implemented on release if not any idea when it will be? |

The finished product that will support OBD2 is being tested for user friendly handling, and will hopfully be released by the end of this year. _________________ Powertrain Control Solutions thanks you for your current or future business @
