|
|
Hello!
I’ve tried to set up some alarms on the D200 on oil pressure, fuel pressure and so on and it doesn’t work right. But what kind of value should I use, volts, kPa, psi….? Do I have to use the new software when I am using the new firmware?
I also observed that when I tried to set up the analog inputs on pressure for example and choice PCS 100 PSI Pressure Sensor it didn’t show the right pressure, but in the diagram the PSI rating is locked in -29.5 and all the cells the volt cells got 0 volts.
Thanks

Erik,
The values you put into the alarms are whatever the input is setup as. If its pressure then enter the values in psi.
As for the preset sensor calibrations. Make sure your using software version 1.8.0. If you are then your "sensors.txt" file is missing or corrupt. Try reinstalling the software to fix it.

Ok, thanks!
But we have tested the new 1.8.0 software on several computers now and we still get the same numbers up in the volts and kPa cells. We have got it working by using “Custom” and mathematically calculate the values in each cell and fill it in manually, but this shouldn’t be necessary….? For example on a 0-100psi sensor ranging from 0,5 to 4,5 volts we divided it on 16 and linearized it upwards. The same problem seems to be on the pressure and on the temperature as far as I can see… It would be good if you could help us with this problem!
Thanks

Erik,
On your computer do a search for the "sensors.txt". When you find it open it in notepad and you should see all the sensor calibrations there. If its blank then something is going wrong during the installation and the file is not getting created correctly.

Erik,
The D200 software will do the linearizing for you. Just enter 0psi in the first cell and 100psi in the last cell then select the entire row by clicking on the "psi/in.h" label and press ctr-L. Or right click and select linearize. You can do the same thing on the voltages just enter 0.5 in the first cell and 4.5 in the last and click on "voltage" to select the entire row.
