Hi, I'm interested in buying this for the MZ3
How does it fool the O2 sensor in closed loop? Does it intercept the voltage signal and modify it to make it think it's running the correct AFR so the sensor doesn't compensate for it?
Pardon me if I don't make much sense, I'm not an expert
Thanks |

It depends on the sensor type. If it uses normal narrow band O2 sensors then the XFC intercepts the signal between the sensor and the ecu. The XFC then sends a new o2 sensor signal to the ECU until the air fuel ratio equals what the XFC wants. Once the desired AFR has been reached the XFC sends a normal swithing O2 voltage to keep the AFR steady.
For the wideband cars we actually skew the sensor reading the ECU gets instead of intercepting it. We calibrated the skew so that the user can just enter the desired AFR and the ECU then adjusts to it.

Is it ready to get bought or is it still in development |

Its ready to be sold but only through Reactive Racing. They do a hardware modification to the XFC to make it manipulate the wideband. The regular XFC sold by us will not do it.

As stated above, the XFC will only work on the Mazda 3 after being modified by Reactive Racing. Support is available on this forum or by phone. Reactive Racing has base maps and installation instructions if you purchase it from them.
