Hello again,
I was wondering if you guys have dabbled with an SR20DET powered automatic transimission. Could you come with a base calibration for such a setup? |

The base calibration for the 240sx transmission should get you started. You can run through the setup wizard and to get the shift points closer for the SR engine.

What information are looking for? We have service manuals for the RE4R01A transmission that could possibly have the information your looking for.

After doing some montoring I've found that I recieve no signal from the TPS and gear selector. I shift thru P-1 and only see indication of the following: P=P, R=R, N=P, D=P, 2=P, 1=P. TPS gets no signal at all and I replaced the sensor at the throttle body with no change.
What I'm getting is symptoms of slippage. The car will rev up +3k RPM and not shift the gear at a resonable rpm (if it shifts at all). As a result my ATF heats up faster than normal and Im creeping around 45mph @ 5000rpm. Of course, the turbo kicks in and the car takes off like a bat out of hell but it seems the car is not shifting gears. |

Throttle position is required in order for our controller to function correctly. Make sure your calibration is correct. If the controller is setup for a different transmission you'll have a lot of trouble.
The shifter must display the correct gear on the monitor screen also. The needle will point to whatever gear the shifter is in and the number below it will display what gear the transmission is currently in.
Did you just change the engine and keep the factory wiring for the transmission? Or is the wiring different also? Its possible the harness we sell does not work on the SR20 swap.

| The wires that are for the tranny are the same (lower harness). I'm getting the TPS input now but the shifting is extremely slow for the engine its paired with. It feels like I'm slipping or not getting to 3 and 4th. |

| Hooked it up again and my gears are all messed up. N reads D, P reads D, etc. It was fine a month ago WTF? Also with the turbo engine, should I convert to MAP or MAF load determination? How so? I have a datalog if anyone wants to see. |

kellen,
I would recommend using MAP for load determination on a turboed car. Did you get tps working? We have a 240sx here at our office that we play with. Shoot me an email and i'll modify one of the calibrations from it to better match your setup. russ@ptcs.us

| Your calibration did give me Reverse back in working order. I still dont get P, N, 2, or 1. Is there something else I should be looking for? |

Kellen,
Are you sure the transmission is functioning correctly? Is the transmission a JDM transmission or a US transmission? Is the wiring harness between our controller and the transmission the original wiring or is it the wiring that came with the SR20? You may want to check that all the plugs are connected on the transmission correctly. If the software does not show the correct shifter position you need to fix it before you damage the transmission.

Kellen,
I just remembered that the 240sx does not have a seperate position for Park and Neutral. The calibration I sent you will display N in Park and Neutral.

| well that helps a lot! I adjusted my inhibitor switch and I have continuity through the wires. I did notice that the brown plug had been cut and spliced from my old harness. I'll have to check what that's about later. Looking at the datalogs I noticed that Reverse toggled digital 2 and Drive toggles 4 is that right? I'm still not getting 2 and 1. What kills me is that it worked not too long ago, is there a fuse, relay, or something I should look at? |

Kellen,
There is not a fuse that will cause this problem. Check on the monitor screen and see if you have any other digital inputs turning on when you move the shifter to 1st or 2nd.
