Is it possible to alter Torque controller values?

I have 1999 Eu spec. ZF 5HP19 FLA (4WD tranny) AT, tranny code DST.
It's been modified by Level 10; torque converter Stage 3 and Stage 3 Valve body (modified solenoid valves).
AT is Non-adaptive.
Engine is modified as well, so now it produces more torque than is specified by OE tranny software (350 Nm) and I have "problem" in 1st and partially 2nd gears under WOT. Software is "holding" acceleration after certain revs up to certain revs.

Second question- Can I (as long I have modified Valve body) still modify work of solenoids with PCS, in both directions- even more firmer/harsher work and also more smoothed one?

TIA

I'm not sure exactly what your first question is but you can alter the line pressure and shifting parameters to make the shifts either softer or firmer. You can make the shifts happen quicker and you can make them happen at any engine rpm you desire.

As far as your second question. Yes, many customers use our TCU in conjunction with valvebody and other transmission modifications. Our TCU compliments many valvebody kits and transmission modifications very well. It will give you the ability to make the shifts smoother and firmer within the limitations of the new valvebody/modifications. Keep in mind that some modifications can cause a transmission to behave so harshly that no level of electronic modification can solve it.

Thanks for the answer,

1st question is about Torque limiter(controler). In my ZF 5HP19FLA (4WD AT) there is torque limiter that is protecting tranny and particulary TC from overloading, excessive torque. It is set up on 350Nm. Since my egine is modified during WOT acceleration in 1st gear (partially 2nd) torque limiter is engaging from 3400 to 4500-4800. I get effect of fast accelerating-holding-accelerating.
If I depress accelerator pedal more modest (not raming it like for 0-60 best time run) I do not have this effect, car is accelerating steady and good.

Is there possibility to disable somehow this "torque limiter" (basicly it is TCU software issue) or alter it for higher values?

TIA

Your torque limiter question pertains primarily to your stock TCM and ECM. There are various methods of communication between OEM TCM and ECM units. Often, they offer communication of torque values and the ECM will limit torque through electronic throttle modulation, timing retard, ignition cut, etc. The TCM can, as you mentioned, can provide partial lockup and has various mechanical and electronic protection modes. The methods to modify and/or defeat such controls varies widely by application and can be very difficult to modify in some instances. We do not program, modify or reasearch the methods to alter or improve the stock TCM system, rather we manufacture our own which replaces it entirely.

In general, our Transmission Controller offers the ability to defeat such problems because our TCU takes complete control over the transmission function. This allows you to program the transmission behavior in any way you wish and would defeat any torque limiter controls that directly affect the transmission.

Thanks,

If I correctly understood you have ability to produce/built up whole new TCU/TCM for ZF5HP19FLA, that can replace my stock TCM? If yes, what are the conditions- time, price, ifo required?
Or I misunderstood and your TC can do it as well?

We sell an aftermarket, programmable TCM that can replace your stock TCM and controls many transmissions including the 5HP19. Where are you located?

Overseas-Russia, but I have no problems to receive it since I have some friends in NY that are buying all I need from US and sending me.

Where I can learn/read more about this TCM?

Much obliged for your patience with me Very Happy
