I just installed a 2 bar MAP sensor and calibrated it as 1.6 volts as 0 PSI and 4.9 volts as 18 PSI ...

The trans slips until about 3 PSI then it seems to all of a sudden kick in and the truck starts moving ,, once its moving it works great ...

Do I need to set up the MAP with different values ??? I tried moving the voltage up and down a little but nothing changes ..

Its almost like I need more pressure at the 0 PSI mark to help it get going ...

Thanks in advance

If the transmission is slipping stop and turn the line pressure up. Start with the line pressure really high then back it off to soften up the shifts. A transmission is no different from an engine. It can be damaged very quickly if something is not right.

If your using a 2 bar sensor then it should be at 2.5 volts at 0 psi. The 3 bar sensor is 1.6 volts at 0 psi. Did you switch the line pressure table to use manifold pressure instead of Throttle position?

After talking to one of the tech guys I did turn up the preassure ...

Tha trans was on its way out though and that just complicated the adjustments ...

It had around 200,000 miles of hard use and was about to give up the ghost ...

When it gets back it should be good to go ..
