As some users may already know, finding upshift/downshift capability can take some work. Here are some suggestions that may help:

The first and easiest method is to use the stock buttons (multiplexed) on a stock steering wheel with cruise, radio or other types of control buttons. This will disable the default controls of your steering wheel while manual mode is activated and will require some wiring work.

Another method is to simply use a spiral wound wire like on a phone cord.

Another method still is to use RF transmitting buttons like these. They do pose the potential problem of high latency for shifting but we have not tested this product specifically at this time. http://www.grantproducts.com/rfcontrols.html
