I am working on a custom application of installing an LS1 to the 4T65eHD. I have been told by a GM engineer that the 4L80e shift logic was the same. I do not believe this is true.

I have the 4T65eHD shift logic.. it is

SHIFT ALGORITHM OF THE 4T65E
,,,,,,,,,,,,,Solenoid A ,,,,,,,,,Solenoid B
1st gear ,,,,on ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,on
2nd gear ,,,off ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,on
3rd gear ,,,off ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,off
4th gear ,,,,on ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,off

I am just curious what the 4L80e logic is. I have looked in my ATSG and cannot find it.

I plan to use the PCS Transmission controllor after seeing the great support and the product itself appears to be very solid in its function and is expandable for future updates.

Thanks,

Loyde

As you can see, using a 4L80E controller with a 4T65E transmission will result in an interesting shift pattern.
The following should happen:

When your 4L80E controller selects 1st gear, your 4T65E transmission will engage 4th gear.
When your 4L80E controller selects 2nd gear, your 4T65E transmission will engage 3rd gear.
When your 4L80E controller selects 3rd gear, your 4T65E transmission will engage 2nd gear.
When your 4L80E controller selects 4th gear, your 4T65E transmission will engage 1st gear.
